Please help us welcome our newest sculptor/potter - David Smith. David creates dynamic sculptures with influences from world renown ceramic artists that he has worked with such as Peter Volkous, Peter Callas, Rudy Autio, and Don Reitz. He uses a wood fired kiln to create a wide variety of textures and patinas on both his sculptures and his functional works. His sculptures in particular experiment with texture and how it relates to form. The resulting works are visually impactful and imbued with deep meaning. His functional pieces have delightful subleties in the glazes that can only be achieved with the wood fired kiln.
