We work both as 'artists' and 'creative directors'!
For over 25 years, Gary and Cindy have worked together as business partners, artists and creative directors. Striving for creative excellence is what our work is all about. We spent most of our careers 'art directing' the best artists and photographers in the business and have built a great network of talented individuals. We even 'art direct' each other on almost every piece we create. Each image is highly scrutinized and has to meet our creative standards before it can be added to our portfolio. And we want people to truly enjoy our work if they want to own it. When someone buys one of our pieces our policy is, "You have to love it, or you can't have it!"
We call private commissions "relevant artwork"...
We can turn your favorite photos into mantlepiece works of art that will last for generations. We are happy to come to home or office to suggest art ideas, and even help hang the work when it's finished. We could even do a private commission from a meaningful photo to make personalized 'relevant artwork' for your walls. Because we do our own fine art Giclee printing, we can make original art pieces to fit almost any space. And finally, since we have one of the largest frame selections in Dane County, we can offer incredible deals on beautiful, artistically framed pieces (especially when it's one of our own pieces :) !
Here's a few example projects we've done...
Commercial - A luxury waterpark resort in Wausau, WI called "Lodge At Cedar Creek" commissioned us to do all of the artwork for the entire hotel... including rooms, lobby and restaurant. They wanted 'artsy portrayals' of area attractions. So we spent a few days photographing the top six major natural tourist destinations in the area. We made about 3000 photographs, from which we chose about a dozen to make digital paintings for the hotel special edition of about 500 pieces.
Residential - For Madison Area "Parade Of Homes", Woodland Studios provided all of the artwork for six houses. We worked with building owners and interior decorators to 'design' the best art and framing combinations to fit with the styles, color schemes, and decorator themes. We handled everything from artwork design, to production, to final installation.
We've done the same for many home owners and love the opportunity to come to your home and help design an art environment either from our existing collection, by doing a private commission from your photo or ours, or by going to our gallery of 2D and 3D artists to find the right wall and/or object art for your space.
